Military training has been identified as one major avenue through which the citizenry acquires the necessary values of discipline needed for nation-building. Data obtained from the NSS database shows that, of those currently doing national service, over 16,000 had expressed interest in military service. Given that this module has been stopped for over a generation, it is expected that it will be re-introduced on an incremental basis. Thus, it is currently designed to offer about two weeks military training to selected service personnel prior to fully assuming their posting with users agencies to which they are posted.

Overtime, it will cover all NSP who meet the health requirements for such training.  This module is not only intended to instill discipline and values of responsible citizenship in young Ghanaians graduates as they prepare to enter the world of work and adulthood, but also to enable them acquire pre-requisite mental dispositions that promotes and defends the national course.
